Golisano Foundation

We are so grateful to the Golisano Foundation for picking our organization to receive a grant. Which will help us enhance our most popular programs what is in-person events. In-person event service our local members by giving them a place to go and connect face to face. The funds will be used to provide more events and enhance the events that we do hold. The outcoming will be we have larger events during the next two years. We will see more attendance from local members and families.

The overall need we our prefilling is in-person contact for young adults with disability. The events we will offer are in-person game night and dinner, a standup comedy show, a Halloween party, and more. We have over 40 members and their families who have already benefited from in-person events over the past two years. Our most attendance events be in March 2023. We had 75 members and families come out to the refugee retreat in Arcadia fl. It was the bigger event to date. Research shows people with disabilities had a very high rate of loneliness, low perceived social support, and social isolation. All Friends Network knows we can fill the void that many young adults with a disability have in their life.
